My name is Andy Herbert, aged 39 from Norfolk. I live with my girlfriend Jenny and her Dachshund Henry. I have a passion for the past, but for military history in particular.  I'm (slowly) compiling a reference of the almost 400 bases used by the RAF and USAAF in the UK during the Second World War. As time goes on and this conflict slips out of living memory, I want to do my bit to help keep the knowledge firmly in the present.
